Job summary
We are looking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV. The post holder duties include supervision of the outpatient delivery for Integrated Sexual Health and HIV outpatient services [Wharfside Clinic]. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead the Proud service (MSM and other LGBTQ service, including PrEP provision) within the department, depending on their experience. Also, according to the successful applicant's experience and specialist interests, there is scope to deliver HIV inpatient care, [including on call, in-reach and inpatient duties] across all Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust sites and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on a rotational basis.
You will join a multidisciplinary team of Consultants, Specialist trainees, GP trainees, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Pharmacists who work in Sexual Health and HIV.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with other members of the team to lead delivery of high quality integrated sexual health and HIV services within the strategic framework agreed by the team. They will work closely with the appropriate clinical management teams. The post holder will undertake outpatient duties including an evening Sexual Health clinic on a weekday. There will be a degree of flexibility to accommodate the successful candidate's preferences and interest. Inpatient and on-call duties may be part of this post but this will depend on the needs of the service coupled with previous experience and qualifications

There will be adequate clinical admin and SPA time provided within the agreed job plan. There is scope for flexibility to contribute to the HIV inpatient service and provision of contraceptive services according to the candidates interest and experience.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to become a clinical and/or educational supervisor for the junior medical team. They will be expected to contribute towards the departments governance and research priorities and have the opportunity to become involved in management and educational portfolios.

- Full and Specialist Genitourinary Medicine registration (and with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview. Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT.
