Main duties of the job
Pharmacy Dispensers/Technicians
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing queries and concerns of patients, families, and healthcare staff with professionalism and empathy.
- Dispense medications with precision and efficiency, following hospital protocols and safety standards
- Adhering to legal and regulatory requirements related to dispensing and maintaining confidentiality of patient details.
- Providing information to patients about their medications, including dosage, administration instructions, side effects and precautions.
- Work in close coordination with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management for paediatric patients
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records of medication dispensing, transactions and patient information
Clinical Pharmacists:
- Provide clinical leadership in medicines optimisation and quality improvement
- Providing clinical expertise and being an educational resource for colleagues in relation to medicines e.g., doses, side-effects, alternatives etc
- Liaising with and proactively developing relationships with a multidisciplinary team (including colleagues, NHS professionals and private organisations) and acting as the main point of contact for medicines
