Job summary

An opportunity has arisen at The Royal Marsden for a Data Manager to support the delivery of non-CTIMP and CTIMP studies.

Data Managers are responsible for the management and review of data and tissue samples for clinical trials managed by The Royal Marsden. They also complete other routine tasks required for the effective running of the clinical trials as directed by the trial managers. They are responsible for ensuring data is complete and managed in line with the protocol, data management plan and regulations, with emphasis on liaising with sites for query resolution. This is an excellent role for those who enjoy working with a spreadsheet, with a keen eye for detail.

Main duties of the job

  • Data Managers are responsible for the management of data (including tissue and images) for specific clinical trials managed by RMCTU. They are supervised and line managed by the Lead Project Managers/Clinical Trial Managers.
  • They are responsible for ensuring data is complete and managed in line with the protocol, data management plan and regulations as advised by the Clinical Trial Manager(s).
  • They are responsible for ensuring all regulatory and administration tasks are completed to support the smooth running of each trial.
