Education and Apprenticeship Team Apprentice

Job summary

Over the duration of your apprenticeship, you will develop the skills that will allows you to provide a high quality and customer focused support service in a team dedicated to Education and career development, all with the support of the wider team. You will work with a range of people, talk to, and interact with staff at all levels and attend events to talk about the NHS services. You will also develop the skills that will allow you to deliver an accurate and effective administrative support to colleagues within the Education and Apprenticeship Team.

You will need to be prepared to work flexibly, have excellent time management and communication skills. You must also be willing to travel (expenses will be paid between sites). Experience of teamwork is essential and providing customer services or NHS experience is desirable.

Whilst on program you will work towards gaining a Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent Level 3 qualification as well as Level 2 Maths and English if required.

We can offer flexible working hours, with some home working, as well as providing office and event cover every week. Although the post will cover all sites at the Trust, they may work from a chosen base site, and attend the other sites as required.

Main duties of the job

This role involves clear and compassionate communication, providing routine information and instructions across various channels to individuals with diverse needs.

The role includes handling enquiries, managing shared inboxes, and supporting the Education and Apprenticeship team with administrative tasks such as meeting coordination, minute-taking, and data entry.

The position also requires active participation in team meetings, contributing to service improvements, following departmental procedures, and offering guidance to less experienced colleagues.

Service Delivery and Improvement

  • Respond to routine emails within the Learning & Development generic in-boxes. Ensuring all emails are responded to within the Service Level Agreements.

  • Administering and providing support to the Learning and Development team, e.g. organising meetings, taking minutes, filing, data entry.
