Job summary

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of the Operating Theatre Department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. We are looking for a highly motivated dynamic Band 6 to work within the Anaesthetic Team.

We are a Specialist Hospital responsible for the care of Major Trauma patients across the region. This means no two days are the same. We are open 24/7 providing safe and immediate response to emergencies.

We are looking for a person who embraces change through the process of continuous improvement to ensure our values are achieved to put the patient first.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 you will be supporting the Team leaders and Clinical theatre manager to deliver evidence based practice to ensure patient safety is maintained.

You will be supporting the processes for continual improvement working using the PFIS strategy to achieve the Trust's goals.

Contribute to setting and maintaining standards using the audit tools to sustain and improve practice.

You will be aware of the policies governing theatre procedures in order to maintain a high standard of practice to deliver patient focused care.
