The Digital Transformation team are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated Digital Trainer & eLearn developer to join our team. This is a friendly and passionate team; whose members continually strive to improve their service.
Applicants must have knowledge of NHS practices with a background knowledge to work in a team responsible for design, development, planning and delivery of broad ranging Digital Training programme, to a wide range of Trust staff.
Our ideal candidates will have a strong team work ethic with an ability to support and consistently deliver a client-focussed service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships to provide training on IT and clinical systems such as but not limited to Rio, Oxcare, eObs and Emeds, delivering to clinicians, nursing staff, administrators and other relevant staff groups.
The post holder will be responsible for working in partnership with the clinical transformation managers to engage staff to support the redesign of current systems, processes, documentation, training and delivering progress updates across multidisciplinary teams ensuring milestones are met and risk mitigated and/or managed where possible. Therefore, the individual will need the ability to work under pressure and respond to short timescales.
Main duties of the job
Role Responsibilities
- To provide staff with training and support in all IT applications to Trust staff employing a range of traditional face to face training and a mix of modern multi-media formats, including remote training via applications such as Microsoft Teams and video demonstration. The IT Trainer will be expected to work across all areas of the trust as necessary
- To design and develop training courses and associated materials, including eLearning and video resources and guides.
- To assist and support Trust staff on a range of clinical and non-clinical IT systems, responding to email, telephone and Help Desk call as required.
- To maintain the provision of up to date training material and guides on ESR, the Trusts Intranet

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- To provide group IT training sessions and individual IT training/support to staff of all grades and to staff who may have specific needs.
- Deliver webinars on a range of clinical and Trust systems.
- Create and maintain guidance/instruction from the training manager e-learns to support clinical processes.
- Provide on-site training support to services as needed, this includes floor walking at key points such as system upgrades.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all training offered and given.
- Regularly review of content and relevance of training, updating training programmes as necessary, in line with national and local requirements.
- To be responsible for updating the Clinical Information System manuals and other IT application crib sheets/manuals as required.
- Deliver all IT training to an agreed Trust and national standard, using training techniques appropriately.
- Ensure IT trainer status and qualification (TAP) is maintained attending relevant training and updating with the Institute of IT Trainers.
- Ensure all new staff are scheduled on to Electronic Clinical Records training appropriate for their role.
- Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of MS office suite.
- Maintain training equipment and consumables.
- Undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the grade and needs of the service.
