Main duties of the job
Assist with the smooth running of the services on various sites.
Ensure that the patients are referred appropriately to other agencies e.g. adult social care if required.
Be willing to learn imaging, OCT, biometry, iCare and vision checking; and ensure ongoing self development.

Develop individual competence and knowledge through experience and training which will enable autonomous practice and support the provision and evaluation of seamless specialist nursing within Moorfields, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of clinical care.
Through work-based learning and development, develop specialist knowledge and skills, demonstrated through the provision of advice, education and support to staff, patients and their families and carers.
Provide a seamless, high-quality service from referral through to assessment. Plan, implement and review care, referring to other specialists as required. Provide guidance to staff, patients, their families, and carer on pathway navigation, seeking support, guidance and advice from more experienced colleagues from within the team or affiliated teams as required.
Supervise, carry out and assist with clinical procedures/practice as required, ensuring optimal recovery to health of the patients in accordance with trust policy, procedures, guidelines, and expanded practice protocols. Delegate these tasks as appropriate
