An exciting opportunity is available to join our lovely team in Fracture Clinic/Orthopaedic Outpatients at DRI/BDGH.
This is the ideal opportunity to progress, develop and gain new knowledge and skills in Orthopaedics. Working in a busy environment, the successful candidate will be working in both a clinical and managerial aspect of the role and assisting with all aspects of patient care in our Fracture Clinic and Orthopaedic clinics.
The successful candidate will also work closely with the Band 7 Department Manager with the day to day running of the department and the management of 41 members of staff.
This is a 30 hour post and hours will be covered during the week Monday to Friday although the main base will be DRI, this is a cross site post and the successful applicant will be required to also work at Bassetlaw when required.
This post involves working with various members of the multi-disciplinary team such as Care support workers, Staff Nurses, Assistant Practitioners and Orthopaedic Practitioners, Physiotherapists and clinicians to provide an effective safe service to our patients.

Main duties of the job
- Managing the day to day running of the departmentManaging a nurse led dressing clinic and performing various aspects of wound care.
- Staff management: Including sickness management, roster allocation, Recruitment, A/L allocation, establishment and budget control (working with the Band 7 )
- Organising clinics and safe staffing across site, including additional clinics and cancellations.
- Dealing with patient complaints and concerns.
- Working closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Attending various meetings including governance, grip and control and operational meetings if required.
