Are you an inspirational leader ready to take the next exciting step in your career? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join our exceptional team at GOSH Staff Day Nursery.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated leader who goes the extra mile to ensure that every child's needs are at the heart of everything we do. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll support the day to day running of the setting to achieve excellent standards within the nursery.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

Deputising for the Nursery Manager in their absence.

Co-ordinating the day-to-day operations for a particular age group.

Supporting staff with the planning, evaluation and next steps for children across the nursery.

Working inpartnership with the team, providing support and assistance in all areas of the nursery as necessary.

  • Monitoring observations on an online platform in accordance with the nurseries protocol.
  • To act as a key worker to names children, carrying out observations and developmental reports for each child and liaising with parents regularly.
  • Act as a positive and professional role model to colleagues and children.

To be considered for the role you will be:

You will need to have a minimum of a Level 3 Childcare Ofsted approved qualification and extensive experience of a senior role in a busy nursery environment, together with excellent knowledge of the child development and current practices. Ideally you will have a track record of leading and delivering quality provision.
