Trust Grade Registrar (ST3+) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Job summary
Applications from experienced, enthusiastic, and dynamic clinicians are invited for an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trust Grade Registrar level post at Kettering General Hospital. This is to support the new Triage (BSOTS) being implemented at KGH. It will also mean moving to a 2-tier on call system which will enhance training opportunities.
To be considered for the post, you must have full GMC Registration, and it is desirable to hold MRCOG or equivalent.
The successful candidate will participate in the fully compliant Middle Grade Rota, working alongside SAS Doctors and Specialty Registrars, to provide patient care for Obstetric and Gynaecological specialties in the Trust. Participation in a shift system including evenings, nights and weekends will be required. The post holder will be well supported by consultants in the department.
Main duties of the job
As a Registrar in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department you will:
o Take responsibility for the assessment and management of patients on a day-to-day basis, under consultant supervisiono Participate in daily ward roundso Ensure the effective delivery of care to patients in day case and inpatient theatres (some specialties)o Ensure the effective delivery of care to patients in outpatient clinicso Participate in multidisciplinary team meetingso Communicate effectively with clinical, nursing and other colleagues in the provision of patient careo Provide supervision and support to colleagues as appropriate for the gradeo Ensure all documentation is accurate and completeo Follow Trust policies and procedureso Be punctual and always report to/be available for work at the agreed start time
