OpCourage North - The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service are looking to recruit experienced mental health clinicians into Triage posts within the Single Point of Access of the service.
OpCourage North is a provider collaborative delivering specialist mental health services to Veterans, reservists, and their families across the North of England.
The collaborative is made up of Cumbria, Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust as the lead provider, working with NHS partners Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust and Charitable organisation partners Combat Stress and Walking With The Wounded.
The post covers predominantly the hours of Monday to Friday 9-5 but you may be asked to work outside of these hours to meet service need. Flexible working can be accommodated over a 7 days week if required
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit two experienced clinicians to work as part of a centralised triage team within the Single Point of Access for the entire OpCourage North service.
The main role will be to undertake triage for referrals coming into the service, identifying risks and suitability for formal assessment by the service.
The post holders will be expected to develop strong links with each of the regional teams making up OpCourage North and work with the Pathway Coordinator to ensure referrals are acted on appropriately.
Post holders will undertake clinical assessments and work closely with duty workers across the partnership to ensure a seamless journey for referrals coming into the service.
The post holder will work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Teams across the service ensuring high quality individualised care is delivered, promoting recovery and wellbeing and maximising independence.
Post holders will be expected to support the Service Lead and Clinical Lead in relation to reviewing activity and processes in relation to referral pathways and support service development where required.
To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
To incorporate a client centred philosophy into nursing practice and client centred collaborative care.
Work flexibly to meet the needs of Service Users across pathways which may regularly include working extended and flexible hours over 7 days a week.
