Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) provides mental health and learning disability care for people across Norfolk and Suffolk. We are dedicated to providing high quality care with compassion, delivering many of the NHS services that are provided outside of hospital and in the community. We have clinical teams providing services in inpatient, community and primary care settings. Our teams currently work in geographic care groups with dedicated local clinical leadership teams. We support a population of just over 1.6 million people and have a dedicated workforce of over 5,000 staff. Our biggest bases are at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich, Wedgwood House, Bury St Edmunds and Woodlands Unit in Ipswich but our staff are based in more than 50 locations.

We're working closely with health and care partners and voluntary sector organisations to transform mental health care to ensure the people of Norfolk and Suffolk get help and support in the right place for them, when they need it, to stay mentally and emotionally well.

Main duties of the job

We are recruiting for a Lead AHP to work in a clinical leadership capacity as part of our newly created leadership team overseeing the Trust Locality services working at a network level.

As the Lead AHP you will have responsibility for the delivery of optimal outcomes for service users and the local health population within the available resources. You will ensures the development and delivery of locality/clinical network operational objectives including performance, resource efficiency and management of workforce plans in line with geography, specialty areas and clinical strategy. You will also work closely with the Principal AHP to develop, direct and lead service improvement and performance strategies and policies to support the delivery of safe and effective care.

Working as part of a multi-professional leadership team, this post is one of five key leadership roles who will be working together to provide senior strategic, visible, clinical and professional leadership across the locality/clinical network. As AHP Lead you will lead and manage services at locality/clinical network level.
