Are you paediatric nurse looking for a new opportunity? This could be the role for you! We are recruiting a paediatric nurse to support our paediatric outpatient clinics at Oldham and Rochdale as well as our elective and urgent paediatric surgical lists.
Working between our established outpatient and inpatient nursing teams you will provide effective, high quality, patient focussed care to the children and families that access our services.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your outpatient and surgical clinical skills and you will be supported by the Unit Manager, Paediatric Practice Educator and Paediatric Clinical Governance Co-ordinator in your own development with a bespoke 4 week induction to support your transition into the role. You will have access to our bespoke paediatric training days and an individual development programme to build on your existing skills, knowledge and experience.
Main duties of the job
As a paediatric outpatient/surgical nurse you will play a vital part in providing child and family focussed pre and post-operative care, promoting continuity within the patient journey. You will have the opportunity to be involved in developing and progressing quality improvement initiatives for outpatient provision and paediatric surgery for the Organisation.

We are fortunate to have a beautifully designed, bright and spacious inpatient unit incorporating Paediatric Inpatients, Critical Care, Surgery and a Paediatric Observation and Assessment area as well as paediatric outpatient departments on the Rochdale and Oldham sites. We have a large playroom and outdoor play area as well as a sensory room and facilities for young people to spend time away from their bed-space.
