As the Lead Clinical Pharmacist in our Critical Care Unit you will play a pivotal role in delivering highly specialised pharmacy services to our patients both directly and through your team.
You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications in the critical care and theatres settings.
Your proven track record within acute hospital clinical pharmacy and in the critical care / setting will be instrumental in shaping services..
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic experienced hospital pharmacist to join our amazing Clinical Pharmacy Leadership team based at Salford Royal.
We will support you to develop both your clinical, leadership and research skills.

Main duties of the job
We need your help to shape services for patients within critical care across the Northern Care Alliance.
Your key responsibilities are clinical expertise, leadership, team development and research.
Being familiar with the Guidelines for the Provision of Intensive Care Services (GPIC), you will work with both Pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and ensure medicines safety in our level 3 unit and theatres.
You will be patient facing active prescriber, leading your team, ensuring medicines reconciliation is completed, review all aspects of pharmaceutical care and ensure medicines optimisation and safety. You will drive forward the antimicrobial stewardship plans to optimise patient outcome.
You will work with the senior clinical pharmacy leadership team to drive forward our clinical pharmacy service for the future. You will support the wider medicines optimisation strategy and clinical governance processes and be a role model for others.
