Main duties of the job
As a IBD Secretary your main duties will cover:
- Medical audio transcription of clinical correspondence
- Carry out administrative instructions dictated in the correspondence including booking appointments via the Booking and Scheduling Department
- Update NPSA16 investigation tracker following transcription of correspondence
- Deal with internal and external telephone enquiries from patients, staff and external agencies
- Undertake routine office duties including printing, scanning and filing
- Organising your workload to meet our KPI's
To do this we need you to:
- Be able to prioritise your workload effectively
- Pride yourself on being organised
- Have an excellent eye for detail
- Be confident using a computer and Microsoft Office
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Be able to communicate effectively and manage patient expectation
- Strive to give our patients an excellent customer service
