Job summary
As part of the EPR Programme, we are seeking an experienced Digital Midwife to lead the perinatal element of a single Electronic Patient Record.
The role provides clinical leadership across maternity services, ensuring the EPR supports safe, high-quality care and aligns with national standards.
Working within the Digital Health and EPR team, and with colleagues across three Trusts, the Digital Midwife will:o Act as the maternity subject matter expert, influencing system design and workflowso Engage midwifery, obstetric and neonatal teams to reflect real clinical practiceo Support development of a standardised perinatal record across siteso Drive adoption through communication, training and change managemento Ensure clinical safety, adhering to DCB0129 and DCB0160o Contribute to design, build, testing, go-live and optimisationo Support readiness for digital workingo Promote continuous improvement and innovation
This leadership role requires working across organisations, influencing stakeholders and balancing clinical and programme priorities.

The role combines remote and on-site working across JPUH, NNUH and QEH.
Main duties of the job
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced midwife to shape and deliver the maternity component of a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across three acute Trusts within the Norfolk and Waveney system. As a Digital Midwife, you will lead the clinical design and implementation of the perinatal record, ensuring it supports safe, high-quality care and aligns with national standards.
You will work closely with midwifery, obstetric and neonatal teams to translate clinical practice into effective digital workflows, influencing system build, testing, training and adoption. The role also includes supporting organisational readiness, championing digital ways of working, and driving continuous improvement post go-live. You will play a key role in embedding clinical safety, working alongside Clinical Safety Officers to ensure compliance with national standards.
