The Radiology Admin & Clerical team looking for flexible and motivated people to join our team.
We are looking for people that are passionate about providing an exemplary service, to work as part of a dynamic team helping to a deliver a safe and effective Radiology service at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a systemic and methodical way, using on their own initiative, be conscientious, and have excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills. Applicants will have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workload.
This is a varied role including booking radiology appointments by phone with patients, sending letters, coordinating inpatient and ED appointments, and receiving patients on arrival.
Location and hours
We have both full and part time vacancies available - please include on your application any preferred hours.
Shifts are allocated on a roster basis with the earliest starting at 7am and the latest finish of 9pm. We provide a 7-day service therefore will include working weekends and bank holidays.
This is a multi-site role, working at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, the new Community Diagnostic Centre (based on NNUH site grounds) and Cromer District Hospital.
Main duties of the job
You will schedule Imaging appointments for a range of modalities; Ultrasound, X-Ray, CT, and MRI. This includes calling patients to agree the appointment date and time, giving directions and providing relevant information in preparation for their scan.
Answer incoming calls in a timely manner, working with the team to manage voicemails and emails, assisting patients, staff and healthcare professionals with any queries.
You will also Cover various reception desks within the department, to arrive patients for their appointments and assist with queries. Some reception desks involve liaising with wards and portering services to arrange inpatient scheduling.

3. To undertake and update Soliton, ICE and PAS training to enable the post holder to carry out their duties accurately and efficiently to ensure the efficient running of the department.
4. To be able to check ICE for electronic requests and deferred orders and register new patients on PAS in a timely manner to ensure the efficient running of the department.
5. To undertake PAS training to enable the checking, amending and registration of patient demographic details as necessary and the checking of patient activity within the hospital, including changes to clinic appointments.
