Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead Nurse on Ward 1, Harplands Hospital. This vacancy would suit someone who has gained at least 12 months Staff Nurse experience and is looking to progress in their career. As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being.

Ward 1 is a 13 bedded mixed gender acute admissions ward for patients between the ages of 18-65. We pride ourselves in being a dynamic, fast paced acute ward specializing in complex mental health needs.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of care and for the supervision of others who are carrying out all aspects of the caring process. The post-holder will assist in setting and maintaining standards of care, will participate in maintaining effective management of the team and unit and will also maintain effective integration with the multi-disciplinary team and assist with the facilitation of a collaborative approach to patient focussed care.

The post-holder will act as a reliable role model for junior staff.

  • Management training Mentorship programme Educated to Degree level or working towards Computer skills

Experience

  • Experience of assessment and care planning within either a Health or social care setting, including an understanding of needs led assessments Experience of community based Mental Health services and other health and social care services Experience and achievement in working at a multi-agency level Experience of reviewing care plans and monitoring care arrangements. Relevant experience in either a paid or voluntary capacity of working with adults.
