Job summary

The post holder will be joining the award winning Camden Learning Disabilities Service as part of an integrated community team. This post is covering 8 months of maternity leave and would be supervised by a senior SLT.

The post holder will work autonomously holding a complex caseload of both Dysphagia and Communication. They will be carrying out assessment and intervention/management plans as well as contributing to risk assessments and clinical pathway meetings.

Main duties of the job

  • Dysphagia caseload; assessment, diagnosis, management plan and reviews
  • Communication caseload: assessment, diagnosis and intervention planning
  • Training; dysphagia training, person focused training relating to dysphagia or communication
  • Clinical Pathways - to represent SLT on delegated clinical pathways such as dementia or complex health and offer advice and support to MDT colleagues
  • Supervision of Band 3 SLT assistant
