Job summary
Main Recovery and Postbridge have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 RN/ODP's to complement our multi-disciplinary team. As part of the team, you will work alongside other healthcare professionals providing high quality patient centred care. From Stage 1 until stage and discharge. Within the departments, patients undergo a wide variety of procedures under a variety of surgical disciplines.
You will be expected to undertake an in-house training package that is personal to your developmental requirements but also covers mandatory skills. This package will be completed in both areas to ensure you have the best training available.

Our shifts reflect our service requirement and as such you will be rostered to a variety of shift times covering a 24/7 period. There will also be a requirement to cover an on-call commitment over night.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and delivering effective, high quality perioperative care for the surgical patient, following a patient-centred model of practice and ensuring work areas run smoothly and efficiently.

PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide high quality care to patients and their families during the perioperative period.
- The post holder will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and delivering effective, high quality care for the patient during the perioperative period.
