This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner Mammographer in X-Ray Guided Interventional Procedures to join our friendly and motivated multidisciplinary team at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
The service includes the East Cheshire and Stockport Breast Screening Programme and Symptomatic Service based at Macclesfield District General Hospital. One mobile van covers the Stockport area and when required, screening cover is also provided for Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust site.
There are three Siemens Mammography rooms with tomosynthesis capacity and three Ultrasound rooms. The Stockport mobile screening unit serves across the Stockport area with remote digital transfer systems from our vans to the base site.
This is an exciting time to join the team, as we introduce Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography.
Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job
Undertake X-Ray Guided Interventional Procedures and Image Interpretation Course.
To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing an efficient and effective service to our patients/clients within the screening and symptomatic breast unit.
Support and deputise for the Clinical lead in the provision of an efficient, cost effective, diagnostic Breast imaging service, through effective management of staff, facilities, and innovative use of available resources.
Assist the Manager and fellow Mammographers to ensure optimisation of staffing and service provision.
Demonstrate excellent clinical competence with in-depth knowledge and experience of a wide range of mammography examinations.
Provide training and supervision of junior colleagues and provide advice and guidance utilising advanced knowledge and skills in this specialist area.
Undertake administrative duties as required.
