Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Tissue Viability Specialist nurse, or Band 5 nurse with 4 years post registration experience as a development B6 Tissue Viability nurse to join our friendly hardworking and highly motivated team. We foster good working relationships and an environment for continuous professional development.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive, evidence-based Tissue Viability Service for both patients and health care professionals in East Cheshire NHS Trust footprint. Covering both acute and community services, including nursing and residential homes, specialist schools and GP practices, caring for all ages from birth.
You will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who has specialist knowledge of tissue viability, working autonomously at a level appropriate to clinical competence and within the scope of professional practice. In this operational role you will work with the clinical teams to provide effective patient care in respect to pressure ulcer prevention and management. Providing specialist advice, training, and support to clinical teams, ensuring best practices are followed across the Trust.
Good communication and presentation skills will be essential in building good working relationships with members of the multi-disciplinary team, patients and their carers/families.
Hours per week: 33, worked over a 9-day fortnight
Main duties of the job
Please be advised we are unable to provide Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship to non-UK residents.
To provide the specialist practitioner function in the delivery of care to patients who have been referred to the Tissue Viability Nursing Service.
To develop and deliver high quality, specialist patient centred care and work with the associated clinical team to ensure this is incorporated within the Business Group and Trust objectives.
To deliver training both formally and informally within the specialist field of Tissue Viability
To act as a role model ensuring practice is the most up to date and delivered in a professional manner at all times
