Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Clinical Support Worker for the Children's Critical Care Unit.

The post holder will work flexibly and provide support over a wide ranger or services/functions. They will work to locally agreed Code of Conduct for Clinical Support Workers and complete the Trust Care Certificate.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Support Worker role within the Children's Critical Care Unit (CICU) requires supporting the nursing team by stocking up and fetching items; cleaning all areas including family rooms; washing linen; making hot drinks for the families and providing meals to breast feeding mothers; daily equipment checks; and admitting and discharging patients and other admin duties when the ward clerk is not on shift. On occasion this role may require support with patient turns and cares, or escorting patients to other departments. Clinical Support Workers on CICU are required to work 07:15 to 19:45 Mon through Sunday with occasion night shifts 19:15 to 07:45.
