An exciting opportunity has arisen at Croydon Health Services (CHS) for a Band 4 - Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician who is forward thinking; enthusiastic and motivated, to join our established experienced and dedicated ward-based and dispensary team.
Main duties of the job
Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Management Band 4, Full-time
The successful applicant will possess good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. You will be supporting our patient focused pharmacy service, liaising with colleagues in both primary and secondary care settings and promoting new and innovative ways of working to achieve better outcomes for patients and reducing recurring long term admissions.
As well as being an integral member of the main pharmacy, you will also be an integral team member of the Satellite pharmacy team, contributing to an already extremely valued discharge service. You will also be required to assist in the continuous training and development of junior staff.

- Experience of working as a medicines management technician
- Dispensing experience
- Previous experience of training / supervision of other staff
- Demonstrates ability to deal with the general public and demonstrates empathy and sensitivity to patients needs when required

- Primary Care Experience
- Patient Medication Counselling
- Conducting / being involved with quality improvement
- Electronic Prescribing
Knowledge

- Good knowledge of clinical pharmacy and role of a medicines management technician
- Understanding of a hospital environment
- Good I.T skills and knowledge of pharmacy computer systems
- Good understanding of working effectively within a MDT team
- Good understanding of Medicines Optimisation

- Knowledge of regulations, legislation and pharmacy standards of conduct
