PhysioWorks is a clinically led, musculoskeletal service which manages 25,000 patients across the city of Sheffield every year. We employ over 75 staff working from locality bases, GP clinics, and exercise venues providing specialist musculoskeletal assessment and treatment within both individual and group settings.As a Band 7 Operation Lead you will be required to provide day to day operational leadership and management to a team of clinical staff, provide governance leadership for the group and ensure staff compliance with mandatory training. You will be involved in the leadership and the implementation of service improvement and development work.

Main duties of the job

  • To be accountable for operational management of a group of staff and the services they provide within a Clinical Division.
  • Be responsible for providing day to day operational management of services.
  • Be responsible for the management of staff within the group.
  • To provide governance leadership for the group and ensure staff compliance with mandatory training.
  • To lead the implementation of service improvement and development work.
  • To assess, diagnose, plan and develop specialist MSK podiatry/physiotherapy treatment programmes for patients/clients with a wide variety of physical/mental health needs in a community setting.

Due to the requirement to travel between clinic locations and transport non-portable equipment, the post holder is required to be either a car driver with a valid driving licence or have access to an alternative mode of transport.

PhysioWorks participates in supporting Physiotherapy and Podiatry students with clinical placements. You will be required to contribute as part of this high-quality experiential learning.

  • Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy from a CSP recognised training establishment or Podiatry degree from a SOCAP recognised training establishment
  • Relevant validated clinical courses at Masters level or equivalent knowledge / experience
  • Relevant validated Leadership and Management courses at Masters level or equivalent knowledge / experience
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous Professional Development via personal development plans/file.

Desirable

  • Training from Higher Education Institution for graduate physiotherapy student supervision.
  • Equivalent knowledge / experience with validation.

Experience

  • Specialist clinical knowledge and experience of MSK assessment and rehabilitation acquired through in depth post registration practical experience.
  • Experience of working in a community based MSK service
  • Experience of operational duties
