Job summary

We are pleased to invite candidates to apply for Band 5 nursing role working primarily in the Surgical Day Unit at Lymington.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and friendly team on the Surgical Day Unit. The role will cover day shifts with rotation onto night shifts (currently the service offers provision for one night every other week to provide overnight post op services).The successful candidates will have the opportunity to feedback their vision of how best to continually improve the service that we deliver for our patients.We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual, who is a team player, ready to embrace the challenge of working in a busy Day Surgical Unit. We require you to be forward thinking, as well as eager to develop your own clinical skills.Within this wide variable role you will be offered opportunities to develop both clinically and professionally within a supportive environment.

Knightwood Ward cares for up to 20 day cases 5 days per week. We are looking for an individual who is conscientious and an effective team player with a calm and organised style of working.Demonstration of excellent communication and prioritisation skills to effectively deliver a consistent high standard of care is required.An individual who has an interest in day surgery and is happy to assist with the ongoing development of the unit and the service it provides.Own vehicle to travel to Lymington is highly recommended.

Knightwood Ward is currently open Monday to Friday 07:00 hrs until 19:30 hrs with occasional rotation to cover the night shift (offered on alternate Mondays for urology) future surgical activity may involve Saturday working.
