Crewkerne Community Hospital has 20 inpatient beds providing rehabilitation, End of Life care and complex discharge planning.

Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills and be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of personalised care plans, to ensure high quality care is given. Also to provide a high standard of general nursing care to all your patients ensuring that they are treated with dignity and respect while promoting a safe environment within the unit. Main duties of the job

We have a range of shifts available and can discuss flexible work patterns to meet demands of work life balance. We offer a range of shifts over a 7 day period including short shifts, long days and nights. In return you will receive enhanced payments for weekend work, a generous holiday entitlement and pension scheme. A relocation package is also available. If you have not worked in the NHS previously and are concerned around pay scales this can be negotiated at interview and a salary justification can be considered. Here at Crewkerne we want to empower our staff to develop themselves to fulfil career progression goals as well as improve the service experience for our patients and their families. We are able to support this through degree or masters level courses which may benefit the ward. These include dementia care, managing long term conditions, diabetes care etc. Transferable clinical skills will be supported with training packages and we will also be able to offer a period of induction/orientation tailored to your needs. Somerset NHS Foundation Trust also run a great Preceptorship programme for newly qualified staff.
