Job summary
Applications are invited for the posts of Clinical Fellow (Core) in various specialties within General Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The following posts are available:
Post 1:
General Medicine with Hepatology (04 December 2024 until 01 April 2025)
General Medicine with Renal (02 April 2025 until 03 June 2025)
General Medicine with Gastroenterology (04 June 2025 until 05 August 2025)
Post 2:
General Medicine (04 December 2024 until 04 February 2025)
General Medicine with Orthogeriatrics (05 February 2025 until 01 April 2025)
Post 3:
General Medicine (05 February 2025 until 05 August 2025)
These posts will be able to provide you with the opportunity to experience working as part of a busy medical take team based in the Emergency Department as well within a specialty team. A significant amount of senior support is available which greatly contributes to the educational value of these shifts, and enables completion of workplace-based assessments in Acute Care.
Main duties of the job
In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification and have:
Advanced Life Support.
A minimum 12 months of working at Foundation level.
A minimum 6 months of working at Foundation Year 2 and above level.
Recent exposure to the acute unselected medical take.
A minimum 6 months of NHS service at Foundation level or above.
Experience working a fully computer based medical record system.
Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.
This post may be suitable for those wishing to undertake an "F3" role.
About us
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
