Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Procurement and Supply Chain for a Materials Controller.

As a Materials Controller, you would assigned as Team Leader within the Procurement Goods-In store-based service, which operates 24/7, 365 days per year including Bank Holidays, for a designated shift pattern.

You would facilitate the receiving of NHS Supply Chain deliveries and direct purchase orders from suppliers and instil best practice among colleagues.

Main duties of the job

Alongside facilitating receiving of NHS Supply chain deliveries and direct purchase orders from suppliers, the Team Leader will instil best practice amongst colleagues.

Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining Inventory Management and Financial Systems data is paramount to success with this role.

You will provide excellent customer service to end-users, in person and via electronic communication and where required scheduling urgent deliveries.

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Desirable

  • ECDL (European Computer Driving License) or equivalent
  • CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) Level 2 or higher or equivalent

Experience

  • General work experience dealing with people in a demand led environment
  • Experience of working in and alongside multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of customer service related or similar environments
