We currently have an opportunity for a Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapist to join our progressive and dynamic Occupational Therapy Department within a leading Foundation Trust teaching hospital.
We offer rotations through a wide range of acute clinical areas which include Orthopaedics, Surgery and Oncology, Neurosciences, Major Trauma, Older Person's Care, Medical, Rheumatology, Hand Therapy and Pain and Stroke and Rehab.
By working with us, you would be supported to develop your Occupational Therapy clinical expertise and promote the benefits of Occupational Therapy within the hospital. Therefore we are looking for applicants that are committed to providing a high quality of therapy provision and passionate about the profession.
There will be opportunities to be involved in a wide range of service development in shaping the care we provide to our patients.
We will provide robust supervision and there is extensive peer support across the multi disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
This rotational, developmental post for new graduates will enable Occupational Therapists to build their clinical expertise and develop a good grounding of clinical skills. Youwill rotate at 6 monthly intervals through a selection of the main clinical areas of Community Rehabilitation, Major Trauma, Department of Medicine for the Elderly, Hands, Surgery and Oncology, Medical, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Frailty Front Door and Stroke and Rehabilitation.
You will ensure a safe, efficient and effective delivery of occupational therapy and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams. You will be supervised by more senior members of the Occupational Therapy Team.
