This is a year secondment/ fixed term position for 1 year

Main duties of the job

In this dual-role position, you will work alongside a supportive team, guided by our Matron and Divisional Head of Nursing. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality, initial assessments and care for acutely ill patients.
  • Coordinating patient transfers to appropriate wards, managing discharges, and collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Supporting emergency day cases and ongoing treatment plans in Ambulatory Care.
  • Acting as the nurse in charge, leading the team and ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Managing a small team, including staff development, managing attendance, and facilitating appraisals
