Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking candidate to join the Cardiology Directorate in the role of MDT Coordinator for a 1 year secondment.
You will be an experienced administrator with an eye for detail and excellent interpersonal skills. You will need proven keyboard skills and an aptitude for using a variety of IT systems. A degree of flexibility with your working hours is also required, as is an excellent telephone manner.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a busy, challenging but rewarding environment. You must have a positive approach to change and be highly motivated to work effectively and efficiently.

Previous experience of working in an NHS environment is desirable.
The MDT Coordinator role will be based at the Royal Papworth Hospital (Cambridge Biomedical Campus).
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will work closely alongside the clinical teams, helping to identify patients who are required for discussion at the weekly MDT meetings. The MDT Co-ordinator is responsible for collating the necessary information for each patient to be presented and discussed on the agenda. The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients' pathways of care, working alongside consultants and other disciplines of clinical staff.
