Medical Education and Medical Staffing has a key role in ensuring the Trust achieves the highest clinical standards. High quality Medical Education supports patient safety, service delivery and the maintenance of up-to-date clinical practice.

Medical Education and Medical Staffing is regulated by the General Medical Council and Health Education England. The Trust is required to engage with the national quality assurance stipulations via regular quality visits and reports.

As the Medical Induction Administrator you will be the lead point of contact for medical new starters to the trust, ensuring information is shared between the two departments to ensure new starters receive a timely welcome and induction to the trust.

Main duties of the job

Assist and facilitate Inductions including providing administrative support both in the run up and on the day. Request appropriate IT access and accounts. Creation and issue of induction packs.

Support the recruitment of vacant posts as a result of training gaps from the Deanery.

Support the production of induction materials for Medical Staff at all grades.

Support return to work of Medical Staff at all levels as a result of long-term sickness or maternity.

Provide support at the end of each rotation and record appropriately. The issue of surveys/feedback.

Working independently, act as a first point of contact for the department, dealing with routine and specialist enquires in a pleasant and helpful manner communicating relevant information to stakeholders.

Answer telephone calls, taking messages and passing on accurately to the relevant person / department.

Create email distribution lists and starter / leaver

To set up and maintain departmental distribution lists for medical staff, educational faculty and student doctors.

Create and maintain a departmental diary highlighting when important dates are approaching.

To contribute to the Health & Safety and Risk Management requirements of the Medical Education and Medical Staffing Departments and the facilities it manages.

Liaising with security regarding any access issues and escalating as appropriate.

General administration tasks associated with Medical HR and Medical Education Team including recording of student and doctor absence
