Are you an experienced optometrist, orthoptist or registered nurse with a special interest in Glaucoma? Are you looking for a challenging new role with an exciting mix of clinical, leadership and service development?

We are looking to appointment a 28 hour, Band 7, Advanced Glaucoma Practitioner to join our passionate and dedicated ophthalmic professionals specialising in Glaucoma. Working with all members of our diverse team you will have the scope to develop the service as it continues to grow and adapt with changing demand.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be required to be a highly skilled autonomous senior practitioner who demonstrates expert knowledge in the field of Glaucoma. The role will involve face to face & virtual patient contact, working with a defined caseload, utilising highly specialist skills. Central to the role will be the responsibility for the diagnosis and planning, implementation and monitoring of individual treatment plans of care. The overarching aim of this role to provide improved outcomes for patients by improving timelines and consistency of care while working closely with the Glaucoma consultant ophthalmologists and the department manager.

The shift pattern for this role will be Monday Friday with times varying depending on service need.
