Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Team within St Benedicts Day Services as Band 6 Junior Department manager.

This post key responsibilities are to proactively care for patients attending Hospice Day Services, ensuring early intervention and proactive inter-agency care planning to anticipate needs and promote patient safety for those living with life-limiting illnesses.

To work collaboratively with the Specialist team within Sunderland, to provide Specialist Palliative care to patients to improve their quality of life through holistic assessment and timely interventions, including physical, psychological, social, and spiritual support

Whilst taking charge of the team/department or in the absence of the clinical team manager, will be directly responsible for ensuring that clinical, professional and cleanliness standards are maintained in the entire team/department.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate palliative care for patients attending St Benedicts Hospice Day care services.

Proactively manage patients with complex needs within Sunderland.
