Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our hardworking housekeeping teams across Wexham Park Hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre in Upton. This is a pivotal role in ensuring our hospitals remain clean, safe and welcoming environments for patients, visitors and colleagues.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control, supervising daily operations, and helping to create a positive and supportive working culture within a large and diverse workforce.

Job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
-
Provide direct supervision to up to 200 housekeeping staff across clinical and non-clinical areas.
-
Work collaboratively with a second Senior Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee all housekeeping services across both sites.
-
Operate within a 24/7 service, supporting flexible working requirements including some evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
-
Ensure compliance with national standards of healthcare cleanliness and uphold the Trusts infection prevention measures.
-
Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring all areas are adequately staffed, with accurate roster management aligned to budgeted hours.
-
Offer technical advice and guidance to housekeeping teams, promoting safe and effective COSHH-compliant working practices.
-
Support staff development through training, competency assessments and the Trusts Individual Performance and Development Review (IPDR) process.
-
Conduct regular internal audits and ensure timely action is taken to address any variance in cleaning standards.
-
Maintain strong working relationships with clinical teams and attend relevant meetings to support continuous service improvement.
-
Monitor departmental performance against agreed objectives and financial targets.
-
Ensure robust processes are in place for the safe management of equipment, stock and property.
-
Provide confident leadership to the supervisory team, promoting excellent communication, high morale and a positive culture.

Assist in the introduction of new cleaning systems, equipment and technologies to enhance service delivery.

Oversee the department in the absence of the Assistant Hotel Services Manager.

Undertake any additional duties required to support the smooth and efficient running of the service
