Business Coordinator for (Virtual Wards)

30 Hours per week - Permanent

We are building a virtual ward service in our community services. This service provides patients with a choice to receive some of the care they would have previously received in hospital in the comfort of their home, surrounded by loved ones.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly proficient, organised and compassionate business coordinator to lead our wonderful and dedicated team of Care coordinators and to schedule and coordinate our clinicians. The successful post holder will work closely with the Heads of service and the community team leaders to monitor, report and implement service improvement. You will be supported to build skills in project management and quality improvement.

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience at this level.

  • Experience of working in a supervisor position with experience of team development, training and supervision.
  • Evidence of performance management, recruitment, retention and HR related policies.
  • Experience of working across departmental and organisational boundaries to deliver specific targets and to improve services for patients.
  • Sound knowledge of clinical governance and Health & Safety issues, including the ability to undertake risk assessments.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a virtual ward environment and knowledge of the relevant challenges therein.
  • Practice of auditing processes and outcome implementation.
  • Significant experience of working in a supervisor position with experience of team development, training and supervision.

  • Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
