AsProject Manager, you will play a key role in shaping national guidance, developing standards, and driving implementation across NHS Wales to improve the delivery and outcomes of key health services.
This role is pivotal in supporting Clinical Implementation Networks (CINs) - national platforms for collaborative working between NHS Performance & Improvement, NHS Wales, Welsh Government, and wider partners.
You will support CIN clinical leads and multidisciplinary teams, responsible for managing and leading programmes of work to produce evidence-based guidance, facilitate its dissemination, and work with health boards to translate it into action. Your ability to build strong relationships and drive collaborative working will be essential to delivering sustainable change.
Additionally, another key focus will be working directly with health boards to co-develop, implement and embed national guidance and standards that improve planned care services. You will use your operational knowledge and project management expertise to ensure improvements are practical, measurable, and aligned with service delivery priorities and strategic objectives.
Main duties of the job

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing programmes and Clinical Implementation Networks (CINs) to support health boards/trust to improve the delivery of key health services across Wales.
Clinical Implementation Networks are an essential national vehicle for joint working between key stakeholders across the NHS Executive, NHS Wales, Welsh Government and partners to improve the outcomes and experience for the population of Wales. Integral to this is the need for continuous improvement and transformational change across a range of our services and approaches and the role of the Clinical Implementation Network is to support this at national, regional and local levels.
As a Project Manager, working on Clinical Implementation Networks (CINs), you will play a pivotal role in enhancing healthcare outcomes and transforming healthcare delivery. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the CIN clinical lead and wider CIN team to produce guidance for health boards on best practice, ensuring it is disseminated effectively. The role will monitor and report against identified key performance indicators, using a variety of data sources. They will lead in stakeholder engagement, and communication strategy, building relationships.
