Job summary

We're looking for an Information Officer to support our BI Team. You will be supporting the change management lead in the efficient and streamlined processing of reporting change requests. Applicants must be educated to Diploma Level 4 or equivalent, and it is desirable that you hold a full UK driving license.You will be expected to work from our head office at least 2 days a week as well as have the ability to work from other Solent NHS sites or from home.

You will be working for the Performance, BI and Reporting directorate working within the BI team, working and learning alongside our team of developers to provide information to support the decision making process. You will also be working in collaboration with the data warehouse and performance team to ensure a smooth delivery of reports and products.

It is essential you can communicate effectively to different audiences and on different platforms and you may have to face challenging conversations and negotiations, but in all times be able to maintain a professional attitude whilst following the trust's HEART values. You will be expected to work on a number of projects at the same time and have the confidence to work with the team or act independently.

Main duties of the job

To support the ongoing requirements for regular reporting in Power BI. This includes contractual requirements and the move to converting existing reporting processes to Power BI.

Support the evolution of automated reports with Power BI and maintain efficiencies in the production of all reporting requirements.

Maintain all documentation including standard operating processes and reporting catalogue for reporting purposes.

Support the continued visualisation of data, for example, service line performance dashboards, including the production of monthly visual intelligence to support performance meetings.

Participate and contribute in meetings to gain information requirements as well as link in with the data management, BI developers and performance team to deliver the needs.

Maintain awareness of NHS Data Dictionary definitions and where data standards apply to National requirements.

Maintain awareness of potential data quality or reporting issues and highlight any concerns.

Maintain the team generic emails and requests ensuring all customer/stakeholder requests are responded to in a timely manner.

Undertake other duties that may be required commensurate with grade.
