Job summary
We have an exciting brand NEW post in our pharmacy trials team here at University Hospitals Birmingham. As Pharmacy Clinical Trials Administrator, the role is responsible for looking after all administrative duties for a portfolio of studies running through our trial's pharmacy. We are looking for someone who has administrative experience, has good IT skills and has an interest in helping us deliver research at the largest NHS trust in the West Midlands. We are looking for a well organised candidate with a keen eye for detail and can work well in our ever-growing pharmacy trials team.
The post holder would also be required to interact with other teams within the trust, including our research teams and R&D colleagues, as well those external to the trust, such as our trial sponsors and their representatives. The role involves helping to maintain pharmacy clinical trials files, ensuring they are kept up to date, assist with the invoicing and archiving, whilst working in accordance with legislative standards. You will ideally have experience of working in an office environment and have the ability to prioritise work tasks with excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
You will provide essential administrative support to our trials pharmacists and Pharmacy technicians to ensure our trials are delivered to a high standard. You will:
-Be responsible for supporting pharmacy trials set up, delivery and close down for a portfolio of studies
-Be responsible for providing research administrative support as needed for all clinical trial activities within pharmacy.
-Be expected to contribute to pharmacy and R&D databases for clinical studies for local and national research projects.
-Be required to combine your IT knowledge with knowledge of the clinical research process.
-Be required to have excellent communication skills and need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
