26.5 hours per week.
The
CAMHS Neurodiversity Service is an established pathway within the Plymouth CAMHS
service, providing services for 5-18 year olds that have a mental health need,
alongside a neurodiverse diagnosis or presentation. This can include ADHD, Autism
Spectrum Condition, Learning Disability, Tics or Tourettes.
You
will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team with diverse expertise and
knowledge. As the CAMHS School Liaison Practitioner, the focus is on delivering
early help consultation, advice and information to community services and
school working with children and young people who present with a learning
disability and emerging mental health difficulties.
This role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route; please refer to the Direct Gov website for more information with regards to eligibility.

Main duties of the job
To work as the identified CAMHS Schools
Liaison Practitioner to deliver early help consultation, advice and
information sharing to community services and schools working children and young people who may present with
moderate to severe learning disability and emerging mental health difficulties.
Co-ordination and implementation of
evidence based targeted interventions in a timely manner, in collaboration with
the other clinicians in the Neurodiversity pathway.
To co-ordinate and contribute to the early
assessment to ensure that children and young people access timely assessments
and the appropriate targeted interventions to the current developing
difficulty.
Organisation and delivery of group based
needs let groups within the school and community setting. To support the
delivery of evidence based parenting programmes for children and young people
with mental health issues.
This role includes case holding
responsibility. This will require the post holder to take a lead in representing
CAMHS in multi-agency meetings such as EHAT, EHCP, CIN meetings or child protection meetings to
co-ordinate and have oversight of mental health element of a multi-agency plan
around a child.
To function as a member of the Neurodiversity
pathway taking appropriate responsibility for the implementation of decisions
made by the Pathway.

manager.
To liaise effectively with the other
CAMHS pathways across the city.
To develop and maintain relationships
with providers statutory and non-statutory.
To maintain confidentiality in respect
of the young people at all times.
Communicate clearly with children and
young people, their families and all other health professional groups about
their health problems.
Actively participate in clinical
governance and quality improvement initiatives, e.g. clinical audit, essence of
care or clinical policy development.
Ensure that children and young people
are encouraged to play a part in decision making about the help they need and
