Job summary
Cumbria Health are currently seeking an Operational Support Officer to provide cover and support for a number of differing services and exciting community health work.
We are looking for a flexible individual to work alongside our team and partner organisations to develop clinics for the community. This role will require some travel and some Out of Hours working, based between Whitehaven and our Head Office in Carlisle.
This post is fixed term until 31st March 2026 for the Hope Haven project, with 30 hours per week available, paid at a rate of £14 per hour. There are an additional 130 hours available until 31st October 2025 for the Senhouse project, paid at a rate of £12.50 per hour.

CNTW, Every Turn, Home Group and ICanWeCan along with other third sector providers to support individuals across Whitehaven and Copeland.
Cumbria Health will be providing the clinical workforce into this service offering the physical wrap around care to people attending other services here. This will include GP, ACP, PN & HCA clinics for complex physical issues often associated with mental health presentations, prescribing needs following consultation with a mental health practitioner, medication reviews and bloods. We will also offer some group educational sessions on a variety of topics including Healthy Hearts, Menopause, NHS digital access for example.
The successful candidate needs to be fully engaged in the service development of this new and exciting serivce.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the Operational Team, the Operational Support Officer will provide support and delivery of named appropriate services and projects. They will provide ongoing support and management of these services on a week-by-week basis dependant on funding programmes.Youwill support the Head of Operations and Clinical Lead in mobilising and operationalising new services and projects alongside other Organisational Leads. You will manage stakeholder relationships internally and externally where appropriate on named projects including Hope Haven, and throughout any mobilisation of new services.
You will work as part of the Operational team with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism, as well as excellent listening and communication skills.

of Nursing in ensuring that allocated projects and associated works are
delivered.
- To lead on smaller projects where appropriate.
- Utilise the agreed project management tools
and folders, including the developing, maintaining and updating project
specific records
- To assist in establish internal and external
project reporting structures using agreed processes.
- To ensure all projects and works are
documented and utilise the agreed project management tools, including the
developing, maintaining and updating of project specific records
- To be responsible for all project
documentation and provide support to Operational staff within the project
governance structures and work alongside the Digital team where required
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all
elements of the projects to ensure an effective and informed first point of
contact to all internal and external stakeholders
- Be proactive in developing new projects and
work with all partners and service users to continue to progress projects
- To assist with the creation of reports on
project status and project progress for Project Groups liaising with Project
stakeholders and suppliers to provide the latest information.
- Assist with data quality and data collection
when required, including developing and collecting patient feedback and
service outcomes.
- To
be responsible for the provision of and execution of training sessions and
materials to both non-clinical and clinical staff
- Assists the Head of Operations in the
development of project plans and takes own actions including planning of key
work streams for individual projects when required.
- Work on own initiative, plans, co-ordinates
and supports meetings of varying levels
- Works to a high level of efficiency maximising
use of automated processes and excellent use of Microsoft products.
- Regularly undertakes research and development
activity along with survey and audits for project development purposes.
- To become competent on multiple systems used
by the Organisation when required
- To liaise closely with our key stakeholders
including CNTW, Home Group, Every Turn, ICan WeCan and The Well along with
other external organisations, practices and PCNs when required dependant on
