Job summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Acute Services team in Newton Abbot as Quality and Compliance Administrator on a part time basis.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing professional administrative support to ensure regulatory compliance records are maintained. Working within a team of mental health care professionals, the postholder will share team passion for service excellence and outstanding CQC ratings.

We support over 800 people per year in managing their mental and physical conditions across five key services: Cypress Hospital offering rehabilitation and mental health support; Community Services - Our specialist team enable people who have autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, mental health concerns or dual diagnosis to live more independently in their communities; Supported Living - Step One Charity provides a range of supported accommodation across the county for people taking the next step in their recovery, development and growth; CFO3 supporting people leaving the justice system to re-integrate back into the community; BeWell@StepOne online and in-person support in the form of wellbeing courses, workshops and peer support groups for people across Devon.

Job responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Governance manager and cypress management team with the maintenance and review of existing policies and procedures.
  • Provide general administration support to ensure all compliance records are kept up to date.
  • Review compliance of in-house audit systems as per schedule and update electronic logs and next steps.
  • Conduct Health and Safety checks for the rehabilitation service as per schedule and escalate any issues as appropriate.
  • Support the cypress management team and governance manager with identifying risks and trends in incidents to help drive an outstanding level of safety and quality of experience for people accessing our services.
  • Provide accurate and timely monthly compliance reports.
  • Support administration manager with record and review processes.
  • Support the acute management team with personnel administration required for CQC purposes. Liaise with the human resources team to improve record accuracy and processes for tracking changes to employee files.
  • Ensure data is handled in accordance with GDPR legislation.
