Role: Nurse
Salary:Up to £36,500 per annum dependant on experience and qualifications.
Contract/Hours: Permanent Full- time - 37 hours fully rotational shifts available

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse learning disabilities or Childrens Nurse, who is passionate about providing the health and social care needs of children and young people with a diagnosis of learning disabilities.
Viking House is an overnight 6 bedded short break residential service, suitable for children and young people up to the age of 18 years of age with physical and/or learning disabilities, to include complex health and behavioural care needs.
We work to reduce the impact of the disability on the child's day to day life by providing support for them to participate, make choices, enjoy new experiences, make friendships and be part of their local community. At the same time parents and carers can have a much-needed break knowing their child is in a safe fun and enriching environment.
Main duties of the job
How you'll help to create brighter futures
- You will be responsible for shift leading a team of residential care workers
- Being responsible for direct care for young people with significant and complex health needs.
- Conducting individual risk assessments and person-centred planning providing a positive proactive outlook to support the young people in our care.
- Being resilient in supporting the young person through challenging situations.
- Beingresponsible for thesafeguardingof theyoungperson.
- Maintaining accurate healthcare records up to date.
- Complete weekly medication reports.
- Support continued competency development.

- To hold an appropriate NMC Nurse registration with continuous professional development and revalidation which we will fully support.

- Experience of working as a Nurse with children and young people with complex needs.
- Experience of multiagency working and attending meetings when required.
