Job summary
Rock Court Surgery has an opportunity for a part-time member
of staff within our reception team. Experience of general practice is desirable
but not essential as training will be given. We are looking for 24 hours per
week, Monday to Friday: (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri:2pm-6:30pm and Thur: 2pm -8pm)
Main duties of the job
Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing
with the callers request appropriately
Signpost patients to the correct service
Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from
patients, team members and external agencies
Photocopy documentation as required
Input data into the patients healthcare records as
necessary
Direct requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance /
solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area always
Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
Support clinical staff with general tasks as requested
About us
Rock Court Surgery has 2 senior partners, 5 salaried GPs, 1
ANP, 1Practice nurse, 1 Nurse associate, 1 HCA and 7 reception/admin team
members. Our Practice list size is approximately 5618.
The practice is part of the iGPc network which includes 7
other practices. As part of the PCN, we have access to Pharmacists (prescribing
and non-prescribing), pharmacy technicians, care co-ordinators, social
prescribers, paramedics and First Contact Physiotherapists.
