As the Practice Lead Nurse, you will oversee the
HCA and Care Coordinator team, providing clinical leadership, guidance, and
support. You will be the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead for the
main operational site at Akerman Health Centre, the branch site at Hurley
Clinic, and any future practice locations.

nursing care, managing minor illnesses, and providing health promotion and

vaccination campaign, NHS Health Checks, Learning Disabilities, Diabetes etc.
Main duties of the job
- Diagnose and treat
patients presenting with minor illness within scope of competence and NMC Code
of Practice.
- Deliver evidence-based
care following NICE and NSF guidelines.
- Support and promote
patient self-care and adherence to treatment.
- Provide chronic disease
management (Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Hypertension).
- Perform foot checks, blood
pressure checks, urinalysis, wound care, compression bandaging, and
immunisations (including baby immunisations).
- Carry out cervical
screening, contraception reviews, health checks, and dietary advice.
- Undertake phlebotomy,
injections (e.g. B12, Depo-Provera, Clopixol, Prostap, Zoladex), and assist in
minor procedures.
- Manage vaccine stock,
storage, and ordering processes.
