Our Practice
Burney Street Practice is one GP
Practice that operates from two sites in the Boroughs of Greenwich and Lewisham less than a 10 minute walk from each other.
The practice is managed by 3 GP
Partners, supported by a Deputy Practice Manager, a Patient Services &
Complaints Manager, a Governance Manager and a HR Manager.
Additional team members are salaried
GPs, a nursing team, and administrative and reception team members as well as
Primary Care Network and community staff.
What We Require
We are looking for an excellent
Receptionist & Administrator to join our
team. Ideally we would prefer someone who has GP experience or
experience of working in a medical environment, but we would still welcome
applications from someone who has no experience, but is willing and quick to
learn.
The following days and hours of work that we
require are:
Monday 7.45am to 1.00pm 9.00am to 5.00pm 10.00am to
6.00pm
Tuesday 9.30am 5.30pm
Wednesday 6.45am to1.00pm
Thursday 6.45am to1.00pm 9.00am to
3.15pm 10.00am to 6.00pm
Friday 7.45am to1.00pm 9.00am to 5.00pm

Job Summary
First point of contact for patients
visitors and colleagues in person or by telephone.The successful
candidate will be expected to work in reception and meet and greet patients and
handle their queries with an awareness of the needs of the patient. It is the
role of the receptionist to assist patients in the easiest possible way to see
a clinician and be friendly courteous and efficient at all times.To receive,
assist and direct patients in accessing other appropriate health services in an
effective and efficient way.
Accurate administration is important to ensure that the work of
the practice is carried out efficiently throughout theday.
Main Duties &
Responsibilities - Reception
Ensure an effective and
efficient reception service is provided to patients visitors to the
practice.
Deal with all general
enquiries, and explain practice and reception processes and procedures.

To ensure an effective
and efficient adminservice is provided to patients,
colleagues,stakeholders and any other visitors to the practice.
To monitor and manage
practice mailboxes, DOCMAN and tasks.
To scan all patient and
practice documentation.
To perform any other
relevant duties that may be dictated by the needs of the practice.
