Job summary
You will be
responsible for patients who attend for a Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive
implant or coil. These appointments form part of MHHs LARC service. Patients
can be pre-booked into an appointment for the Dorset area including implants
and coils.
You will be
responsible for the provision of contraceptive implant consultations, fitting,
removal and replacement. You will also provide counselling and the fitting
service for either IUS or IUD.

Youll support
the delivery of MHHs LARC service by: -
Providing contraceptive implant consultations,
fitting, removal, and replacement.
Providing counselling and fitting services for
IUS/IUD devices.
Delivering sexual health and general
contraceptive advice to patients.
Supporting the NHS Cervical Cytology Screening
Programme where appropriate.
Undertaking patient assessments, screening, and
health education activities.
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
using EMIS and other digital systems.
Working collaboratively with clinical colleagues
and operational teams across multiple locations.
Supporting safe, effective, and patient-centred
clinical care delivery.
Contributing to continuous service improvement
and clinical governance processes.

Qualifications
Essential
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult Nursing).
- Current FSRH Registration.
- Experience fitting, removing, and replacing contraceptive implants.
- Experience fitting, removing, and replacing IUS/IUD devices.
- Ability to work across multiple service locations within Dorset.
- Strong communication, organisational, and clinical skills.
Desirable
- Prescribing qualification.
- Experience working across dispersed or community healthcare settings.
- Experience using EMIS clinical system.
- Experience within NHS primary care or community services.
