Job summary

Ashton Medical Group is looking for an adaptable and motivated GP to join our forward-thinking practice. This new flexible role offers a varied mix of fast-paced hub triage and rewarding face-to-face clinic work, allowing you to use a wide range of clinical skills while helping us maintain excellent patient care across the practice. You will move between our GP Hub and standard clinics depending on demand, providing both rapid clinical decision-making and continuity of care.

Main duties of the job

In this flexible GP role, you will provide a blend of same-day triage in our GP Hub and routine face-to-face appointments in the main practice. You will assess and manage a wide range of presentations, making safe and efficient clinical decisions, particularly during high-demand periods. On hub days, you will work until 6.30pm and focus on rapid triage, urgent care needs, and directing patients to the most appropriate pathway.

You will also contribute to on-call activity, support the multidisciplinary team, and help ensure smooth patient flow across both settings. The role includes opportunities to lead or participate in quality improvement work, supervise and mentor colleagues, and take an active part in clinical discussions and decision-making. This is a varied post that balances fast-paced acute work with continuity-focused general practice, offering a rewarding mix of autonomy, teamwork, and service development.

This role provides flexible clinical cover across both the GP Hub and the main practice.
