Job summary

WE AIM TO INTERVIEW FOR THIS POST WEEK COMMENCING 5TH JUNE IN THE PUDSEY AREA

This is an exciting opportunity to join a mature and vibrant primary care network that operates in and around Pudsey. We are looking for an administrator to work with our well developed pharmacy team to help with their general workflow.

Main duties of the job

o Co-ordinating and preparing repeat prescriptions to be signed off by a qualified pharmacist

o Setting up Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD)where appropriate

o Community pharmacy liaison with support from the wider pharmacy team

o Monitor and co-ordinate Long Term Condition patient recall lists

o To respond to medication queries from patients and staff in a professional manner referring to the clinical pharmacist when appropriate.

o Process hospital correspondence such as TANs

o Support the pharmacy team to improve quality and safety of prescribing

o Ad hoc grade appropriate administrative tasks for the pharmacy team

o Liaise with patients where appropriate in order to encourage them to order what they need ( to avoid over prescribing)

West Leeds Primary Care Network (WLPCN) provides enhanced clinical services across six GP surgeries within the Pudsey and Bramley area, with a total patient population of approximately 70k.

WLPCN currently benefits from the following clinical teams, directly employed by ourselves :

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians

Community Wellbeing Advisers (Social Prescribers)

We already have a well developed multi skill level pharmacy team and we are hoping to recruit a Prescriptions Clerk to join them. The workload is varied and interesting plus you will benefit from mentorship as well as professional development.

Core Responsibilities - Clinical

o Co-ordinating and preparing repeat prescriptions to be signed off by a qualified pharmacist
